LJ’s Chocolate Berry Smoothie

LJ's Chocolate Berry Smoothie

6 frozen strawberries

1/2 a frozen banana

1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk

1 tbsp. Chia seeds

2 scoops chocolate protein powder

Pour all ingredients into a blender and pulse on ice crush a few times until the frozen items are chopped up, then mix until smooth.  Enjoy!

I tend to have this smoothie for breakfast in the morning after my morning workout.  I find it keeps me happy and satiated until lunchtime – probably because of the protein powder and the Chia seeds.  I use BioTrust Milk Chocolate Low Carb Time Released Protein Blend. I like it because it's made from natural ingredients, has no artificial colors, sweeteners or flavors, and is hormone-free.  It also tastes delicious.  For this recipe, however, you can use any protein powder you want.
